Ingredients
In a two piece gelatine capsule: Calcium Beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate (HMB), Anti-caking Agents (Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide).
HMB, or Beta-Hydroxy Beta-Methylbutyrate, is a metabolite of the branched-chain amino acid leucine.
Branched-chain amino acids, also know as BCAAs, consist of L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine, these are three of the nine essential amino acids. About 35% of muscle protein is comprised of BCAAs, so it is important to have enough available in your body when you are trying to gain and/or maintain muscle.
HMB is designed for anyone looking to supplement their training.
Each capsule provides: 500mg of Beta-Hydroxy Beta-Methylbutyrate.
Training days: Take three capsules 20-30 mins before workout, and another three capsules immediately after workout with your favourite post-workout shake.
Non-training days: Take three capsules before breakfast, and a further three capsules before your evening meal.
This is a food supplement and should be used in conjunction with a balanced diet.
HMB is created as a by-product during the process of breaking the amino acid, leucine, down.
It is produced from the protein in our diet, and is also found in small quantities in grapefruit, alfalfa and catfish.
Each bottle contains 90 caps.
